Thought Provoking Question

Is there adequate funding for assistive technology in U.S. public schools?

  1. I believe that there is enough funding for assistive technology in public schools it is just that many people believe they must purchase the most expensive technology to be successful. We should always remember that the most expensive product is not always the best.

  2. Yes, I believe there is enough money out there for assistive technolgy, but the money that is out there is not always spent on what it is suppose/needs to be spent on. Schools are given money for things just like this, but may choose to spend it elsewhere. Also, families can sometimes find funding through insurance and other groups to but AT for their child.

  3. I feel that there maybe enough money allocated to the school district to purchase effective AT, but schools normally but other things first. Inexpensive, effective AT can be afforded by all school districts. Take time and do the research on it.
